Inkeri Jäntti - Introspection illusion

Inkeri Jäntti is a Finnish photographer born and based in Oulu. She is interested in abandoned non-places, feminism and playing in the space between documentative and narrative photography.

"Introspection illusion" was created on Varjakka island in the Summer of 2019, during an art residency facilitated by TaikaBox.

The final photos are collages made in "real life": photos printed on transparent material laid on top of each other to reveal new secrets and highlight new discoveries. In the age of Photoshop, Inkeri wanted to experiment with what it was like to create new layers in actual photographs and how texture and light and shadow could be manipulated outside the computer.
